- The Unorganised Mum
Lazy girl skincare
Let's be honest, the skincare market can be a little overwhelming. There is so much choice and skincare science seems to develop faster than that one annoying hair on my chin that just won't quit (thank you tweezerman). My skin is definitely not perfect, but it does look a lot better than it did in my twenties. I've tried a lot of different brands and products over the last decade and have narrowed it down to these 6 must haves for true lazy girl skincare (swap for unorganised mum skincare since 2018!). And yes, on occasion, it is totally okay to just wave a wet wipe near your face...
I only discovered these gems about 6 months ago and wow, they are such a game changer! Just pop one on as a blemish appears, leave on for at least 6 hours and as if by magic the spot is gone. I put these on as needed before bed and then remove in the morning.
I love this daily exfoliating cleanser with glycolic acid to brighten and hyrdrate. It's suitable for daily use even for those (like me) with sensitive skin. Good value at less than half the price of many similar products from other brands.
Everything you need in one retinol serum with added vitamin B3. It has improved my skin texture and tone as well the reduced the appearance of sun spots and fine lines.

If I could only use one skincare brand for the rest of my life, it would be The Ordinary. I love their no nonsense and pocket friendly approach to beauty. This moisturiser is a huge hit with so many and it's not hard to see why. Lightweight and hydrating with added hyaluronic acid.

Hashimoto's has made my lips drier and more susceptible to cracking this year and after testing what feels like every lip balm on the market, O'Keefe's budget offering is truly unbeatable. Huge bonus that it costs a fraction of competing products of similar quality.
A good SPF is a must have to keep skin healthy and protected. This is a more expensive product, however it is amazing. A fine mist SPF 50 spray, you can wear it either under or on top of make-up. No need to rub in, so you can top up while you're out. I also use this for the girls; they find the spray cooling on hot days and love that they just need to close their eyes. No need to make them stand still while I rub cream in!
